Five classic pieces of art, split into a total of 4,800 nonogram puzzles to be solved on Playdate.

Since the puzzles are automatically created from bigger images, some of them will be very hard, which is why there is a hint functionality that correctly marks a random cell as filled or empty.

There is also a demo that contains just one painting (960 puzzles), but is otherwise the same as the full version.

This seems cool and I wish I had a Playdate to put this on! … but I also think I’d rather solve a few hundred or even a few dozen hand-crafted puzzles instead of literally thousands of computer-generated puzzles.

With that said, I hope this does well for you, Diefonk!

If you're interested in fine-art-as-picross try Juufuutei Raden's Guide for Pixel Museum. Raden is a VTuber with an art history background so you get a little "explanation from the curator" by her after you finish each puzzle. It's by Jupiter and they are THE picross video game devs.

Can the puzzles be completed using logic? Or will we need to rely on the hint system please?

It’s probably possible to solve with logic if you spend enough time on it. I’ve used hints a couple of times because I was frustrated. The best way to find out is to try the demo!
